The position supports the customer service function by providing quotations and acting as a primary liaison for correspondence and communications with customers. \nPosition Qualifications (Required and Preferred):\n\nRequired:\n* Legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer\n* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a client service role or similar capacity.\n* Strong capability in project management.\n* Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook.\n* Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.\n* Hands-on D-R centrifugal / turbine equipment experience\nPreferred:\n* A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration\n* Some field experience on D-R equipment\n\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\n\nClient Service Managers may perform some or all of these responsibilities listed below.\n\nCommercial Functions\n* Interpret customer maintenance and/or repair specifications to technical personnel for repair and maintenance of equipment.\n* Review contractual terms and conditions for service specifications.\n* Negotiate contracts per policy directly with the Client, working with legal, risk management, and sales departments.\n* Issue Work Order Releases (WOR\u2019s) to the shop for initiating jobs, releasing repairs, and advising the shop of changes in scope from the customer and when notifying the shop a change in scope has been approved by the customer.\n* Support shop personnel in execution of activity described in recommendations.\n* Liaison between client and shop regarding status, scope change, hold points, etc.\n* Develop specific quotations for repair work scopes with associated detailed costs.\n* Prepare and deliver project documentation and progress reports for internal and external customers.\n* Closely monitor ongoing job-costs, with focus on cost actual versus quote/estimate.\n* Inside sales functions including new and existing Clients.\n* Collaborate with technical specialists and QA manager to ensure that all jobs are completed within job specific or general quality guidelines and assurances.\nTechnical Functions\n* Generate workscopes for components detailing how inspections and repairs are to be performed.\n* Calculate hours required for inclusion on inspection and repair workscopes.\n* Routinely check on the progress and condition of jobs currently being worked\n* Submit purchase requisitions for any special materials or outside services needed for the completion of the job.\n* Assist with all technical issues that arise related to work in progress or previously completed jobs.\n* Maintain files of all technical paperwork associated with a job, as well as archiving any electronic files on the network.\n* Review and approve job data included but not limited to dimension, heat treat, balance, certifications and visual acceptance.\n* Reports on job progress and milestones at the Production Meeting.\n* Generate reports detailing the inspection methods, inspection results, proposed repairs, required hours for repairs, and possible repair options for use in quoting purposes for repair.\nAdditional Duties\n* Perform any and all other tasks assigned by Supervisor.\n* Support and maintain Lean implementation projects.\n* Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Service Center.\n* Provide on-the-job training to new employees.\n* Work hours are as required and directed by the project and client requirements.\n* May be assigned to manage/coordinate work flow of other employees \u2013 Project Management.\n* Accomplishes all tasks appropriately assigned or requested.\n\nDresser-Rand is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.\n\nNo agency submissions please.
