[{"country_short": "USA", "city": "San Diego", "description": "HSE Manager\n\n\n\n# Positions: 1\nLocation: US-CA-San Diego\n\nState/Province : CA\nCity/Town: San Diego\n\nCategory: Safety, Environmental & Health\nPosition Level: Supervisor (has direct reports)\nApply for this job:\n\n* Apply for this job\n* Refer a friend to this job\n\n\nMore information about this job:\nPosition Overview/Summary:\n\nThe Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will develop, implement and manage HS&E policies, plans, procedures and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.\n\nThis position may be based in our Chula Visa, CA (San Diego) or Rancho Dominguez (Los Angeles) facility. \nPosition Qualifications (Required and Preferred):\n\n* The legal authorization to work in the US\n* A minimum of a Bachelors or Associates degree in Occupational Safety & Health required.\n* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience within a Field Service / engineering environment including offshore oil production, pipelines and refinery/chemical plants and machine shops.\n* Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its implementation\n* Ability to travel up to 40% of time (domestic and international)\n* Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure and to deadlines\n* Work with minimum of supervision\n* Ability to promote best practice on HS&E management to achieve compliance within all areas of the business.\n* Provide clear, practical advice and guidance for management and staff\n* Strong & influential communicator and possess the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels\n* Must be competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)\n* Demonstrated proficiency and confident in delivering HSE power point presentations\n* Working knowledge of Federal DOT and ability to manage the program (truck transportation < 26,000 lbs., non-hazardous).\n\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\n\n??????\n* Develop, implement and manage HS&E policies, plans, procedures and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.\n* Conduct HSE-related compliance audits, inspections, and assessments of company and client job sites and workplaces across the business and ensure that the region is compliant with HSE-related regulatory affairs, company standards, and client requirements.\n* Assist supervisors with performing root cause analysis of HSE incidents, assist in case management of reported injuries and in the development of effective corrective actions.\n* Represent the Company at customer meetings and conferences regarding HS&E issues.\n* Manage and report HSE information and accident statistics in line with Company and legislative requirements.\n* Visit client projects/job sites and conduct behavioral audits of Field Service personnel and promote a Zero incident safety culture by motivating others, modeling the right example, intervening, engaging in discussion and convincing others.\n* Audit, measure and ensure the effective implementation of the HSE Management System and assist in the planning for HS&E continual improvement to achieve objectives and targets\n* Assist project managers in preparation of comprehensive project/job HS&E Plans.\n* Serve as the HSE contact for Field Services Americas region for all matters related to HSE.\n* Develop and facilitate training, safety meeting topics and safety notices for employees on issues related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.\n* Assist supervisors with performing root cause analysis of all HSE incidents and assist in case management of reported injuries.\n* Coordinate/facilitate monthly HSE-related meetings with Management/Service Center managers/supervisors.\n* Manage/utilize the Company\u2019s electronic record keeping databases, internal training database and other department electronic systems.\n* Manage contractor Safety Supervisors supporting field projects.\nDresser-Rand is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.\n\nNo agency submissions please.
