Position Overview/Summary:
Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing process plans, CNC programs and manufacturing estimates, with a solid understanding of machining, tooling and computer aided manufacturing systems.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
* B.S. degree in technical discipline.
* Familiarity with Unigraphics CAM or APT CNC programming.
* Working knowledge of product design and drafting procedures.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Creates and maintains CNC programs, tooling and supporting machine setup information.
* Develops and improves process plans, labor estimates and work standards.
* Demonstrates a commitment to meeting scheduled release dates, meeting customer requirements and utilizing new technology to automate creation of process plans and CNC programs.
* Provides shop floor personnel with manufacturing assistance and expertise through regular contact with supervision and operators.
* Identifies and implements improvements to the process, systems or controls which reduce cost, improve product quality and competitive position.
* Maintains a current knowledge of CNC capabilities, tooling, process planning and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology.
