Acts as the project or market champion within D-R, leading all aspects of the business and project development from the initial stages through order entry. Manages the client interface, including presenting the value proposition and negotiating contractual terms.\nPosition Qualifications (Required and Preferred):\n\nEDUCATION\nDegree in an engineering discipline from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience\n\nEXPERIENCE\n10+ years of sales / business development and/or experience with one or more of the following product lines:\n* Centrifugal Compressors\n* Reciprocating Compressors\n* Steam Turbines\n* Gas Turbines\n* Expanders\n* Axial Compressors\n* Control systems for Turbomachinery\n              \nSKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\nMust demonstrate/possess excellence in the following skill areas:\n* Drive for results, proven track record of goal attainment\n* Confident and professional communication style, both written and oral\n* Presentation skills appropriate for executive leadership and high level client contacts \n* Client facing orientation\u2013 relationship building, attention to detail and tenacity are critical\n* Interpersonal skills enabling productive relationships with peers, superiors and others where formal reporting relationships do not exist; demonstrated ability to gain confidence and trust of team members, conveys support and concern for others\n* Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook\n* Multi-language skills & International experience a plus\n\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.\n\nPrimary objective to provide leadership and focus for Order Capture activities and achievement of growth initiative within region; proactively develops sales opportunities and regional marketing and sales plans\n\nEstablishes work plan including staffing for each phase of the project, arranges for recruitment and/or assignment of key personnel from Project Development and Product Engineering and Product Services departments.\n\nMonitors market activity and trends, including with respect to competition, provides feedback to the Client Services team per D-R guidelines\n\nEngages Legal/Contract Administration, Finance/Credit, Business Solutions, Controls Systems, Product Services, business unit managers, and company management as necessary.\n\nManages and directs preparation of the technical and commercial proposal, including the preparation of price recommendations based on market information, preparation of the value proposition and completion of the risk assessment and project cash flow analysis per standard process guidelines.\n\nPrepares business activity and forecast reports and delivers technical and commercial presentations for management \n\nBehaves in professional manner, using good judgment with regard to expenses, and meets the D-R sales, bookings, and earnings objectives while representing the client to D-R and ensuring they are treated fairly.\n\nEstablishes and maintains preferred provider relationship with the key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations\n\nRoutinely presents to clients in both small and large forums, an overview of D-R, the Company\u2019s approach to market and its capabilities\n\nConducts business affairs with the highest standards of ethics and integrity\n\nAdheres to the Company\u2019s Code of Conduct and other Company policies", "date_new": "2011-04-25 21:16:47", "url": "http://dresser-rand.jobs/xml/20900332/job", "country": "Malaysia", "company": "Dresser-Rand", "title": "Project Development Manager", "reqid": null, "state": null, "state_short": null, "location": "Kuala Lumpur, MYS", "uid": 20900332}]
