Position Overview/Summary:

Responsible for developing and managing a team of engineering and drafting professionals whose responsibilities include mechanical and electrical systems design, product application, research &amp; development (R&amp;D) and support of engineering projects. Included in this role is the development and maintenance of engineering systems, processes and policies that support product development and project engineering execution.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):

Required:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering/ Engineering Technologies
* 3+ years of comparable management experience
* 2+ years of related engineering experience
* Proficient with MS Office suite
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level Knowledge of electro-mechanical system operation and design
* Knowledge of internal combustion engines performance and exhaust gas emissions theory
* Knowledge of engineering tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CFD)
* Experienced with oil and gas operations
* Experienced in construction/design codes and standards 
* Up to 25% travel is required
* Represent company to industry, customers, and vendors in a professional manner
* Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours
* Able to work successfully in a team environment
* Keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Customers
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
Position Responsibilities and Duties:

* 
Responsible for team development and guidance, including but not limited to: personnel appraisals, creation and maintenance of engineering development matrices, goals and objectives setting and review, strategic planning, training, career development and salary administration for the department staff
* 
Act as technical and managerial advisor to internal and external customers
* 
Develop, implement and refine engineering and project engineering policies and procedures that work with customer requirements
* 
Generate and maintain assignments, schedules, and budgets pertaining to department responsibilities and customer projects
* 
Coordinate with management team to establish priorities, forecast manpower requirements, and allocate resources to meet schedule requirements
* 
Review all proposed projects and initial design scopes to ensure technical and budgetary feasibility
* 
Assist project management with understanding, prioritizing and planning major engineering tasks
* 
Ensure design reviews are conducted for each project prior to release of designs and drawings for materials purchase or customer review
* 
Conduct “post-mortem” of projects, along with project managers, of engineering deliverables success.
* 
Manage the completion development process for business unit; tasks include request for funding, budgeting, project charters, and R&amp;D project deliverables for the Strategic Development Team (SDT)
* 
Oversee the project management of new technology R&amp;D projects and long range plan (LRP) for technology development
* 
Manage the development of engineering specifications, standards, tools, procedures and documentation to ensure all products and systems are designed in accordance with Federal and State regulations, applicable industry codes, and Company philosophies
* 
Approve timesheets, expense reports, and time-off requests

Position Overview/Summary:

The Sales Engineer provides leadership in the decision process for qualification of project leads from account managers based on feasibility and potential opportunity. The incumbent will work directly with customers to evaluate and generate project specifications and coordinate with internal project management, construction and engineering to generate and effectively communicate customer proposals. The PDM will also develop trusted advisor relationship with customer personnel. This position is located in Fort Collins, CO.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):

Required: 
* 
A minimum of a 4-year degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
* 
A minimum of 5 years engineering practice in automation and control systems
* 
Experience with industrial reciprocating and/or rotating equipment
* 
Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in general areas of application for automation and control of reciprocating engines and compressors. 
* 
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business dictates up to 50% for the purpose of supporting customer interactions, special projects or conference / meeting attendance
* 
A valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required
* 
Must be insurable per Company Insurance Guidelines
* 
Proficient knowledge of MS Office
* 
Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours
* 
Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
*

Develop project definition, goals, schematics and scope of work for proposal generation
* 
Perform initial site visits as necessary to support proposal development
* 
Perform initial sizing and specification of project components
* 
Coordinate with project management, estimating, engineering, and construction to develop respective sections of project proposal
* 
Develop proposal margin based on costs, schedule constraints and other key factors
* 
Assist Account Managers and other personnel in presenting final proposals to customer
* 
Lead project transition to Operations upon award of project
* 
Participate in design reviews, and post job analysis for continuous improvement of proposals, solutions, and tools used in their creation
* 
Coordinate with Research and Development for identification and evaluation of potential new technologies and opportunities
