Position Overview/Summary:
Experience and knowledge rotating & reciprocating equipment including Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors & Reciprocating Compressors. Disassemble, inspect assemble all equipment and sub-assemblies. Follow Standard Work Procedures and Policies provide complete inspection package and utilizing calibrated measuring tools.
Also have interest and abilty to learn manual machining
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments to 0.001" and simple hand tools.
* Ability to set-up and operate manual machine tools including Drill Press, Lathe, Mill, HBM, VBM & Surface Grinder.
* Ability to select proper cutting tools and parameters for various material alloys.
* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
* Ability to add and subtract all units of measure including time, volume, weight and distance.
* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
* Ability to use measuring instruments and simple hand tools
* Ability to routinely lift at least 25 pounds, as required to perform essential functions of the position, for up to eight hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, as required to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
* Knowledge and ability to use standard inspection and measurement instruments and prepare factual reports and/or sketches of work performed.
* Ability to be attentive to tasks at hand and move to the next task
* Ability to read & interpret general assembly blueprints and work to general tolerances
