Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred): H.N.C./H.N.D. or equivalent. Time served indentured Apprenticeship to a recognised National Standard. Minimum of five (5) years post apprenticeship experience. Position Responsibilities and Duties: Position Responsibilities:- Ensure that customer installs, commissions, operates and maintains Dresser-Rand supplied equipment in accordance with the Instruction Manual. Provide technical assistance and advice to Customers Installation, Operations and Maintenance personnel. Maintain comprehensive Customer Activity Reports for Customer daily inspection. Provide detailed Site Reports which among other things highlight actions which may need to be taken by other D-R departments. Provide Action Requests: for Field Service Managers and Manufacturing Plant Field Engineering Groups. Maintain regular communications with the Field Service and Field Engineering Support Groups. Behave at all times in a manner which is in keeping with the responsibility of the position, and the image of Dresser-Rand. Supervise the activities of Dresser-Rand supplied Technicians, be responsible for their day to day site activities and discipline. Co-ordinate with the Customer the use of their own site labour. Diligence at all times in protecting the Dresser-Rand commercial and warranty liabilities. Develop, with Customer, installation, maintenance and overhaul schedules. Ensure that Customer is aware of facilities available to him at Dresser-Rand Repair shops. While on site observe health and safety at work procedures. Be aware of and having satisfactorily completed Dresser-Rand safety training and awareness programme.
